New face, cat face

Jenny Naylor on some stairsHello! My name is Jenny. I am an illustrator currently training in graphic design on the side, and will be interning with Thought Den for the next month. I graduated from studying Illustration three years ago and went on to do a number of commissions before moving to Bristol last year. I love Bristol for the vibrant street art , how there is always something interesting going on here and for how many artists and designers live here.

I am passionate about design, innovation and colour. The world is full of so much excellent design and artwork and I want to be a part of that.

This month I will be helping the guys here with a project for the Open University about the history of design, and also any internal projects they throw my way. I’m looking forward to seeing how they work and how they generate ideas and generally getting stuck in!

Some interesting facts about me:

  • I like graveyards
  • I am obsessed with drawing
  • I love things that confuse me and make me think differently
  • I once participated in the Highland Games in Scotland
  • I love the French language and read novels in French
  • I’m a pretty proficient harmonica player

(Jenny has already made this absolutely lovely Twitter poster!)

We also asked Jenny to draw a character that represented her. It’s two cats!
